Adriaan is a senior portfolio manager and joined Satrix in August 2018. He has extensive experience in managing and developing quantitative equity models and portfolios. He spent most of his professional investment career at Prescient Investment Management where he was head of equities.

Prior to joining Prescient in 2004, he started his career as an investment consultant at Fifth Quadrant Actuaries and Consultants (Willis Towers Watson). At Prescient he developed their first quantitative equity offering based on factor investing in 2007. He has further experience in managing a hedge fund using factors and more recently successfully developed and managed the smart beta carve-out portfolios for Private Client Holdings unit trusts.

Adriaan is a CFA Charterholder and has a BCom (Insurance Science) and a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics of Finance from the University of Pretoria.
