Richard began his career in 1995 as an analyst for Old Mutual Asset Managers. He has extensive experience both locally and offshore, including co-managing the BigRock Fund for Decillion Capital. In 2001 he relocated to London with Decillion and co-managed a US/European hedge fund. Richard co-founded BlueAlpha in 2004, where he manages the BlueAlpha BCI Global Equity Fund. He has won multiple awards – most recently, the Raging Bull for best 3 year straight performance on the Select BCI Worldwide Flexible Fund.
