Siphesihle joined Allan Gray in 2017 as an analyst in the Investment team. Fannuel holds a Bachelor of Business Science (BBusSci) from the University of Cape Town where he majored in Actuarial Science. He is also a CFA charterholder and a qualified actuary with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in the United Kingdom. Fannuel’s involvement with investments started whilst he was a final year student at the University of Cape Town in 2007. He conducted his honours research, in measuring developed market inflation, in conjunction with Prescient Investment Management. Upon completion of his Bachelor of Business Science degree, he eventually joined Prescient Investment Management as a fixed income analyst. As an analyst, he regularly provided input to the portfolio construction process through general fixed interest and credit research. Over the three years at Prescient, Fannuel had vast exposure to the process involved in managing bond and cash portfolios. In January 2011, Fannuel joined Balondolozi investments as a Fixed Interest Manager. In 2014 Fannuel assumed the responsibility of leading the investment team as Chief Investment Officer. He is also directly responsible for managing Fixed Interest Funds.

Warren joined Bateleur during 2016 as an investment analyst. He has been working in the investment industry since 2006, most recently as head of investments at a private wealth firm. Richard began his career in 1995 as an analyst for Old Mutual Asset Managers. He has extensive experience both locally and offshore, including co-managing the BigRock Fund for Decillion Capital. In 2001 he relocated to London with Decillion and co-managed a US/European hedge fund. Richard co-founded BlueAlpha in 2004, where he manages the BlueAlpha BCI Global Equity Fund. He has won multiple awards – most recently, the Raging Bull for best 5 year risk-adjusted performance on the Select BCI Worldwide Flexible Fund.

Sidney has more than 23 years of experience in the asset management industry. He joined the Spirit Group in November 2013, and with the acquisition of Cadiz in May 2018, was appointed Senior Fixed Income Portfolio Manager South Africa. He has subsequently been appointed as Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of Cadiz Asset Management. Sidney is ultimately responsible for the management of all portfolios and implementation of the fixed income investment process and philosophy.

Simon joined Contrarius in March 2019. He has over 16 years’ previous investment experience with Allan Gray Ltd. Chantelle joined Fairtree in 2017 and is currently the Head of SA Equity Research as well as co-portfolio manager for the Select Mandate and the Fairtree Blended Equity Fund. She started her career in 2006 when she joined Deloitte and completed her articles. She then joined Barclays Africa and worked in the Finance team, and then moved to the Equity Research team where she was a sell-side analyst covering South African Banks and General Financials. In 2016, she was rated #2 by the Financial Mail Ranking the analyst in General Financials and #6 in SA banks. Chantelle holds a Bachelor of Accounting Honours degree in Management Accounting from the University of Stellenbosch and is a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).

Paul joined Fairtree in 2013 and is a fixed income portfolio manager. He started his career after graduating, where he worked in the engineering field at Eskom for five years. He then moved into the financial services industry, working for Standard Corporate and Merchant Bank’s Interest Rate Productions division for two years, and then joined the asset management industry in 1999. After five years at RMB Asset Management, Paul moved to the newly formed Momentum Alternative Investments, where he managed numerous hedge funds and specialised segregated mandates.

Greville Ward has worked for 25 years in European Equity sales, first in London for Laurie Milbank and then Savory Milln (with Julian Robins) before moving to New York in 1988 to work for BZW. In 1992 he joined Robert Fleming as Head of European and Eastern European Sales where he worked for 5 years. He subsequently joined Bankers Trust until their takeover by Deutsche Bank in 1999 following which he started the US operations of Collins Stewart with Julian Robins working again with Terry Smith. Since leaving Collins Stewart in 2007 and before joining Fundsmith, Greville worked for a London based Intelligence company.

Anthony Ginsberg was born in Cape Town, South Africa and studied at the University of Cape Town, graduating with a Bachelor of Business Science (Honors). His Honors thesis was subsequently published as a book, by both Butterworths and the New York Institute of Finance, titled “International Tax Havens”. A second edition was released in 1998 sponsored by Barclays Bank. He qualified as a Certified Public Accountant in the US, after working for the Wall Street investment bank, Salomon Brothers (now Citibank). Thereafter he served as Barclays Bank’s, Director for Offshore Services with Global Executive Committee responsibility for the Caribbean, Southern Africa, Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man. Chief Executive Officer B.COMM, DIP. ACC, CA (SA) Greg Rawlins, CEO of Reitway Global, qualified as a CA (SA) at Deloitte’s in 1984, before leaving the profession to embark on a career in the Information Technology industry. This was followed by a move in 1998 into the investment and property arena. Greg gained exposure to investment finance and asset management whilst being the CEO of a mid-sized investment company. However, commercial property which started out as an attraction became a passion. He left investment management in 2003 to focus on his own commercial property portfolio, but the ultimate goal was to develop a global listed property investment methodology. In early 2009 the asset management division of a bank provided an opportunity to publicly test the performance of the investment strategy. The result was the best performance of a global listed property fund over a three-year period. Investment Experience: 27 years Brandon has been actively managing long-only and hedge fund assets since 2005. He graduated with a BCom (Economics) in 1992 and holds a CFA Charter since 2003. In 2005 Brandon was appointed as a portfolio manager at Metropolitan Asset Managers, responsible for Liability Driven Investments of the Guaranteed Annuities products utilising nominal bonds, currency, and interest rate derivatives in multi- asset investment strategies. He managed a portfolio with AUM in excess of R7.0bn. In 2012, Brandon was a founder of Saffron Wealth (Pty)Ltd, a hedge fund investment manager located in Stellenbosch from where it operates today. Eric is a senior research analyst primarily covering businesses across emerging and frontier markets. He also co-leads the firm’s macroeconomic research. Eric joined Sands Capital in 2013 as a research associate supporting the portfolio managers of the Global Growth and Emerging Markets Growth strategies. He was promoted to senior research associate in 2014, research analyst in 2019, and senior research analyst in 2023. Rowe Price, Oliver worked as an Investment Consultant at Lane, Clark & Peacock after beginning his career as an Investment Manager. Oliver's investment experience began in 2017. Oliver earned a B.A. (first class honours) in Financial Services, Planning and Management from the Manchester Metropolitan University and is a holder of the Investment Management Certificate (IMC).

He is the lead portfolio manager for the Visio BCI Unconstrained Fixed Interest Fund and Visio BCI Bond Fund. Prior to joining Visio Jonathan was head of Fixed Interest at Granate Asset Management from December 2015 to June 2019. He also served as the Head of the Fixed Interest team at Cadiz Asset Management from 2006 to 2015 where he managed the Unconstrained, House View and Inflation-Linked Bond funds. Jonathan has 11 years of sell-side experience having worked as a Fixed Interest Strategist at HSBC from 1995 to 2003 and then at RMB from 2003 to 2006.
